Connection with Brittany
Notes

This Gospel-book possibly originates from Brittany or Western Francia. The possibility of an ascription to Brittany (accepted by Bischoff in Kat. §2462, and by Ganz in OHLP 257) is based on script, decoration, musical notation and text-type (cf. Benoît-Castelli and Huglo 1954: 174; EBGB 13, n. 1; Simpson (McKee) 1999: 290). Lemoine briefly discussed a peculiar type of 'hybrid' insular-continental g occurring in this MS: a similar letter-form can be found in Oxford, Bodleian Library, MS Auct. F.4.32 (Lemoine 2008: 187).
