Notes

This MS contains the following colophon at fol. 230r: Martinus presbiter bonus humilis scripsit et subscripsit. Fratres qui legit ora pro illud. Bischoff (Kat. §182) places the writing of this MS 'Nähe zur Bretagne.' The marginal commentary does present some insular abbreviations (as indicated by Bischoff), but there does not seem to be any evidence pointing specifically to an origin in Brittany (cf. CMD VII, 555: 'Aucune indication ne permet d'en situer l'origine ni la date', pace Ganz 2007b: 150, where it is stated that 'the Breton priest Martin copied the de Decim Categoriis in Avranches 229').
